Boisterous, reticent, excited, scared, shy, happy, enthusiastic, big, small, young, old, pedigree or pavement special, healthy or frail – every paw is welcome – everyone is given a home at A New Hope Dog Rescue.
NEW HOPE really is a place of optimism, managed by a dedicated and passionate Olivia and family who run this shelter as part of their home.
Each ‘fur-baby’ has a name & history, and although they cannot speak, you could see the excitement on their faces and the appreciation for everything that anyone does for them.
It’s become a tradition that on December the 24th, I do outreach, going to a different shelter each year, to be able to help those in need who cannot speak for themselves. To be jumped on, sat on, and drooled on by these special souls is a treat, and the fact that I come home sunburnt and filthy dirty – a pleasure!
2020 was a rough year for most, but fortunately there are some incredible people out there like Petra, Craig and Angela, and amazing sponsors like Nexgard and PetZone who donated so much food, toys, treats, medication, shampoo and more, that my car was packed to compete capacity!
To be part of JustOneThing365 is awesomely FUNTABULOUS!
Let’s all take some time and be there for those who need us – it doesn’t cost a thing, but it fills your heart with so much love and a of a sense of achievement helping JustOneThing365.
Try and do it, once a month, once a week, even one day a year… seriously, giving of your time and energy gives you so much more than you could ever imagine! And let’s hope that NEW HOPE has more foster fails than anything this year!
Remember ADOPT – don’t shop… STERILIZE to save lives.
