Why adopt a shelter dog?
Because you’ll save a life.
“Saving one dog will not change the world, but surely for that one dog, the world will change forever.”
Thinking of adding a pet to your family? Here are some reasons to adopt your new best friend.
1. Bragging rights
Anyone can buy a pet but it takes a special human to choose to save a life instead. Fall in love with your new best friend, adopt him/her, take and post those pics and watch the love and likes stream in!
You may even inspire someone else to do the same.
2. Adoption helps more than just one animal
Overburdened shelters take in millions (yes, MILLIONS) of stray, abused, neglected and unwanted animals every year.
“By adopting an animal, you’re making room for others. Not only are you giving more animals a second chance, but the cost of your adoption goes directly towards helping those shelters better care for the animals they take in!”

4. Adoption is cheaper
We hate to bring money into it but adoption is WAY cheaper – even if you’re adopting a purebred.
If you’re set on a specific ‘breed’, then type in the ‘breed’ + ‘rescue’ in Google or Facebook and see what comes up. There is a rescue for every ‘breed’.
Here are a few (South African based) breed-specific rescues to get you started 😉
